Day 91: Strange Case of Mole Airlines

For Day 91, students took a quiz and then got started on another forensic chemistry problem, the strange case of mole airlines flight 1023. This activity was originally published in the April, 2003 issue of the Journal of Chemical Education and you can find it all over the internet. I really like this problem because it is great practice with finding empirical formulas but it is not as dull as just completing a worksheet. Students typically get really into it and come up with all sorts of conspiracy theories!
